In the World Press Exhibition now being held at Cologne there is an International Christian Press Section where for the first time an attempt has been made to give to the public an impression of the richness and the enormous extent of the world’s religious press, nearly all nations and denominations being represented.

In the British and American Department may be seen the most important organs of denominational journalism, as well as the international papers and magazine of the great Christian organisations representing social and international movements, while in a special Ecumenical Department is displayed the literature of the Christian Union Movement, including the World Alliance for Promoting International Friendship through the Churches, Copee and similar bodies. It is well that at such an Exhibition the religious press of the world should be so abundantly represented; for the Reformation may be said to have popularised printing, and the connection with the Church and the Press, always close, has become closer in modern days.
