Edna Edmond has been recognised for 65 years as the Church organist at Skene Parish Church.

Mrs Edmond first took on the role in 1954, initially covering for the organist who was ill. She is pictured with minister the Rev Stella Campbell and elder George Low, the only member of the congregation who was there the day Edna began, who presented her with gifts on behalf of the congregation.

The Guild of St Ninian’s-Craigmailen Church in Linlithgow enjoyed an evening of flower arranging around the Guild’s theme of ‘journeying’. President Rosina Johnstone read from the Bible and led reflections on three themes – creation, lilies of the field and the Garden of Gethsemane – while Guild member Helen Aitken portrayed them in her floral creations.

At the end of the evening the arrangements were taken to three ladies who have recently been in hospital.

Donald Walker is pictured being presented with a certificate marking 30 years’ service as an elder at Portpatrick Parish Church. He is shown with minister the Rev John Burns and David Maxwell, Session Clerk.
