Convener Runs for CrossReach Project

Monday April 14 2014

The Convener of CrossReach, the Church of Scotland's social care arm, is among a team of runners taking part in the Glasgow Women's 10K run next month.

Dr Sally Bonnar and the team are fundraising for CrossReach's perinatal depression (PND) project, the Bluebell Campaign.

The campaign was launched to raise awareness of ante- and postnatal depression, which affects as many as 1 in 6 new mothers and 1 in 10 new fathers in Scotland. It also offers free counselling, and a specialist baby massage service. It receives no statutory funding and relies on donations and the goodwill of volunteers.

The run is on May 11. Donate here.
