The historic St Michael’s Parish Church in Linlithgow, West Lothian, is staging an original Passion Play musical in the approach to Easter.

The Seed Must Die follows the events of Holy Week (and beyond) through the coverage of a 24-hour news channel asking whether  Jesus of Nazareth is actually the Son of God, or just an upstart illegitimate son of a teenage mum. It has been written by experienced Scottish Christian author Jenny Robertson.

There are three performances in the church a fortnight before the Easter weekend: on Friday March 11 at 7.30pm and Saturday March 12 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets at £10 (£7 for concessions) are available locally from the church office or Far From the Madding Crowd bookshop, or online.  Proceeds go to the St Michael’s Cross House (the church office) Energy Action Project.
