The Convener for the 2016-17 session will be Rosemary Johnston, a retired college lecturer. She has served the Guild over the years in several roles, currently as Council Convener, as well as previously convening Finance and General Purpose Committee at national level.

Rosemary, who also enjoys gardening, DIY and art, said: “I am honoured and delighted to have been asked to serve this dynamic movement at this stage in its development into a more forward and outward looking organisation, attractive to all members of the Church family and beyond. There are so many exciting things happening in The Guild, living out the ‘Be Bold, Be Strong!’ strategy.”

The new National Vice Convener will be Marge Paterson from Ayr Presbyterial Council. . Currently the Convener of the Guild’s Marketing and Publicity Committee, Marge became a Guild Member in 1991 while living in Pittenweem, Fife. Marge has served on Ayr Presbyterial Council since 1996, as Secretary, Convener and National Committee Rep (twice). In Cumnock, Marge is Chair of the Management Committee of the Church’s Coffee Shop and Bookshop.

Rosemary and Marge will take up their posts following the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in May.
