Leprosy Mission Open Day

Wednesday February 24

The Leprosy Mission Scotland is hosting an Easter Open Day at its headquarters in Stirling this weekend.

The event is a chance to purchase Easter cards, eggs and gifts, as well as TLM’s range of gifts and books that support their work.

The Mission has strong links to the Church of Scotland – it was founded in 1874 by a Church missionary in India, Wellesley Bailey, and its current chair is Church member Marion Francis.

The Leprosy Mission is a global fellowship, working in around 30 countries altogether. It works to fight the causes of leprosy and treat sufferers around the world, as well as fighting the stigma surrounding the illness. The Scottish branch is currently focusing most of its efforts on Angola, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria and South Sudan.

The open day is this Saturday, February 27, from 10am-3pm at Suite 2 Earlsgate Lodge, Livilands Lane, Stirling FK8 2BG
