Graduation at Highland Theological College

Almost 40 awards were made at the recent graduation and awards ceremony of Highland Theological College UHI in Dingwall.

The honours ranged from PhD to Doctor of Ministry to Honours degree and Access Course.

Amongst the graduates were Rev Dr Richard Buckley, minister at Trinity Possil & Henry Drummond Church of Scotland; Drew Kuzma who was recently unanimously elected as minister of Benbecula Church of Scotland; and Heidi Hercus, ministry candidate. William Skene, Aileen Brookes and Marlane Cash were awarded the Certificate of Higher Education in Theological Studies, the academic requirement for their Readership training. Scott Reynolds, awarded the BA degree in Theological Studies, and Mirjam Murphy who was awarded Honours, had both studied at HTC-Glasgow.

Scott Burton, Edinburgh, was the winner of the HTC Student of the Year award. Petra Gurney, who was brought up in a Romanian orphanage in the 1980s and moved to Scotland when she was adopted, won the HTC Endeavour Award.

The Reverend Dr Fred Drummond, Scottish Director of the Evangelical Alliance, was the guest speaker.
