Tour in Aid of Tearfund

Wednesday July 27

Songs based on the Sermon on the Mount will form the basis of a charity concert tour which visits three Scottish churches this autumn.

Singer-songwriters Yvonne Lyon, Gareth Davies-Jones and David Lyon will perform songs from their album The Space Between, which was inspired by Matthew chapters 5-7. The songs touch on issues such as mercy, poverty and justice.

Gareth, originally from Ireland but based in north east England, is a Sony Award-winning songwriter who has worked with many high-profile folk and roots artists. Yvonne Lyon's solo work includes a recent album of songs co-written with people who have suffered bereavement, and she has shared stages or albums with Beth Nielsen Chapman, Patti Griffin, Karine Polwart, Luka Bloom and more; while her husband David's worship songs have been featured several times on BBC radio as well as albums from Keswick and Spring Harvest.

The Autumn Acoustic Tour is in aid of Tearfund, and will visit Glasgow, Bearsden and Hamilton before heading into England.

September 14 Clincarthill Parish Church, Glasgow
September 16 Killermont Parish Church, Bearsden
September 17 Hamilton Parish Church

Doors open at 7pm for all concerts, and tickets (£6 plus fees) may be available on the door, subject to availability.
