'CrossReach Reveals Love in Action'

Monday October 10

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland has said that the Church's social care arm reveals 'love in action'.

The Rt Rev Dr Russell Barr spoke at a launch service for CrossReach Week,  in Letham St Mark's Church in Perth.

He said: “It is never enough to know what a particular [Bible] passage or parable or doctrine commits us to believing, it is also vital to know how it commits us to living...

“If the Bible teaches us God is love, then CrossReach reveals love in action, love when it gets its sleeves rolled up and its hands dirty.

“Best of all CrossReach shows us what it looks like to live God’s more excellent way.”

The whole service can be viewed on CrossReach's YouTube channel.

CrossReach employs more than 2000 staff throughout Scotland, working with the elderly, families and young people.

Caring in Christ's Name: a series of features on CrossReach projects throughout Scotland.
