St Ninian’s Craigmailen Church, Linlithgow, is an Eco-Congregation and has a very active Eco Group and supportive congregation.
At the recent church fair the Eco Group had a stall to provide information on energy saving in the home and how to combat air pollution, by getting on-board with the ‘Switch off and Breath’ campaign which is being run by the Vehicle Emission Partnership (VEP).
A representative of Home Energy Scotland came along to provide advice and information on how to reduce your energy costs at home as well as answering questions on a wide range of topics, ranging from solar panels to smart meters.
West Lothian Council, who are a member of the VEP, provided information packs.
Members of the group are pictured with the Home Energy Scotland representative.
The Guild of Portpatrick Parish Church, near Stranraer, has produced a calendar of local scene, following the success of a similar venture last year. Calendars are available for £5 plus £1 postage from Fiona Maxwell on 01776 704045 or maxwellf@supanet.com All proceeds to church funds.
Archie MacMillan, who has served 40 years as an elder at St Serf’s, Tullibody, in Clackmannanshire, is pictured being presented with a long service certificate by minister the Rev Drew Barrie.
