To mark the end of the summer holidays, 60 children and leaders at Banff Parish Church took part in circus skills training.

A team from Modo Circus, based in Peterhead, instructed the youngsters in skills including juggling, balancing, plate spinning and tightrope walking. They then spent two more sessions honing their skills before demonstrating them to the congregation at the following Sunday morning worship.

Pictured are some of the children and leaders who took part, with ring-master Jim Buchan (right) and family worker Karen Cumming (front).

A couple from Michigan, USA, wore historical costumes to renew their wedding vows at Kingussie Parish Church.

Tom and Paula Mcelroy are members of a re-enactment group in the US, and were originally married nearly 20 years ago in a Colonial Presbyterian service.

The couple are pictured with Kingussie minister, the Rev Alison Burnside, and members of the congregation.

The Guild of Mannofield Parish Church in Aberdeen took part in the ‘yarn bombing’ of trees at Crathes Castle.

The event was organised to celebrate World Wide Knit in Public Day (June 10) by wrapping the trees in the castle driveway with colourful knitting.

The Mannofield knitters created enough scarves to ‘bomb’ the first nine trees in the driveway, and afterwards they were sewn or crocheted together to create more than 30 blankets to be donated to Syrian refugees.

On June 10, the Guild took a trip to Crathes to see their work in situ and have a picnic.
