A Prayer To Mark the 'End of An Era'

A Prayer To Mark the 'End of An Era'

Monday September 12 2022

Held now safely in the arms of the God she so trusted to lead her in private and in public,

Our prayers go out to a family mourning a mother and grandmother.

At the end of an era, we acknowledge the role of Her Majesty in her decades-long reign

And we pause to remember...

No person is perfect,

But the impact for good Her Majesty had,

Far exceeds anything most of us could ever have the opportunity to achieve.

May peace be Hers.

May she find rest -

Eternally.

To Creator, Son and Spirit be all glory.

Amen

The Very Rev Dr Susan Brown was Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2018.
