General Assembly 2023

Wednesday May 24 2023

Welcome to Life and Work's coverage of the 2023 General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, which opens on Saturday May 20.

This year's General Assembly is again a hybrid event with a mixture of Commissioners in the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh, and others watching, speaking and voting remotely.

The Assembly opens at 10am on Saturday and continues until Thursday (May 25) with sessions each day from 9.15am and 2pm.

You can follow proceedings live from the Church of Scotland's General Assembly site, where you will also find full reports and pre-recorded Conveners' speeches, and on Facebook.

Life and Work will be providing daily reports of the debates, and editor Lynne McNeil will be live-tweeting from @lifeworkeditor

There will also be full coverage in July's magazine, and a free downloadable summary of the key decisions and speeches is now available.
