The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt Rev Susan Brown, joined the Palm Sunday Procession in Lerwick, Shetland. Mrs Brown led the procession of over 100 people, along with two Shetland ponies (no donkeys in Shetland!), and later preached to an ecumenical congregation of over 300 at St Columba’s Church.

Duntocher Trinity Guild raised £900 at their Daffodil Tea for Marie Curie.

On Palm Sunday, remembering when the welcoming crowd threw their coats on the street before Jesus, the congregation and local community of Boghall Parish were invited to gather and bring warm, waterproof jackets and sleeping bags to be distributed to people in need.

Churches in Dumfries held their annual walk of witness through the town on Good Friday.
