A group of 13 from the Old Kirk Kilmacolm, led by the minister the Rev Dr Peter McEnhill, travelled to Geneva for three days in order to visit sites that have been and are important to the establishment and continuation of Protestantism. Visits included the World Council of Churches, the International Museum of the Reformation, the Reformation Wall, St Peter’s Cathedral and the Auditoire where John Calvin preached and where he and John Knox (among others) debated many fundamental aspects of religion.

Helen Aitken made it a family double after celebrating 40 years as Officer in Charge of the 2nd Gourock Company Anchor Boys.

Helen reached this landmark exactly a year after her husband, Alan Aitken, MBE, celebrated 40 years as Captain of the Company Section.

As well as receiving gifts at the Anchor Boys' display, Helen was presented with a long-service certificate by Company Chaplain, the Rev Teri Peterson, which was signed by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt Rev Susan Brown. Helen also received a gift from the congregation.

The Rev David Coleman, Environmental Chaplain for Eco-Congregation Scotland, led the service at St Ninian’s-Craigmailen Church in Linlithgow on Sunday May 19. St Ninian’s-Craigmailen is a new Gold Eco-Congregation, one of only three in Scotland.

David is pictured with members of the congregation after the service.

The 50th anniversary of the ordination of the Rev David Mcleod was celebrated at Logie & St John’s (Cross) Church in Dundee.

Motherwell South Parish Church welcomed six new church members by profession of faith in May, bringing the number of new members to 25 in the past three years.
