Michael Harvey to Speak on Healing

Monday June 17 2019

The founder of Back to Church Sunday and Weekend of Invitation will speak on ‘The Invitation to Heal’ in Edinburgh this autumn.

Michael Harvey will deliver the annual Denis Duncan Lecture, to be held this year in St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church, on November 21.

Michael has worked with churches throughout the UK and the English speaking world since Back to Church Sunday launched in 2004. He has spoken to thousands of church leaders in his Unlocking the Growth Seminars and has to date seen thousands of Christians mobilised to invite, resulting in hundreds of thousands of accepted invitations.

Michael has also been instrumental in developing the God and the Big Bang project, which helps secondary school pupils engage in faith and science.

The lecture is held annually by the Guild of Health and St Raphael, in partnership with the Church of Scotland, in memory of the Rev Dr Denis Duncan, a leading figure in the healing ministry. The lectures explore aspects of healing, health and wellbeing for Christians and churches.

It will be preceded by a drinks reception, beginning at 6.30pm, and followed by a panel discussion with leaders in health and healing in a church context.

Tickets are free, but there is a suggested donation to the Guild of Health and St Raphael. Book here.
