TWO walks organised by Christian Aid will take place in September.

The first, ‘Another Way to Remember’ begins at Logie Kirk on Saturday September 7 at 10am. The fourth walk of its type, it offers the opportunity for people to come together and celebrated the lives of lived ones who are no longer with us.

The day begins with a short service to light candles before a walk along the Hillfoots Diamond Jubilee Way. Walkers have the option of a two mile or more challenging nine mile route. Walkers are advised to bring a packed lunch if they are interested in the longer walk.

The second ‘Power Walk’ takes place on Saturday September 14 at Whitelee Wind Farm, near Kilmarnock. Walkers will have the option of a three-mile or seven mile route.

The event begins with registration at 10.30am at Whitelee Windfarm Visitors Centre with the walk beginning at 11am.

Both events are free but walkers are encouraged to fundraise for the charity.
