Tearfund's Big Quiz Night

Christian charity Tearfund is repeating its successful ‘Big Quiz Night’, and is appealing for churches and organisations to take part.

Last year’s event saw 500 churches and 23,000 people across the country take part in a simultaneous quiz night, raising thousands of pounds for Tearfund’s disaster and poverty relief work.

This year’s Big Quiz Night takes place on Saturday November 16. Groups that sign up to host an event are supplied with the questions on video (on a USB stick) and paper, but are free to organise the event as they please, including adding refreshments or other fundraising ideas, changing the running order or adding extra local knowledge rounds. There is a suggested donation of £5 per head, and team sizes of 4-6.

Participants are asked to register the number of people taking part with an online dashboard, which will keep track of how many others are taking part across the country.
