Fun Run Fundraiser for Minister's Marathon

Tuesday December 17 2019

A north-east minister has organised a Christmas Eve beach fun run in aid of Christian Aid.

The inaugural Cruden Christmas Eve Caper 5k will take place on Cruden Bay Beach.

It is organised by the Rev Sean Swindells, minister of Cruden Parish Church in the Presbytery of Buchan.

The event is open to all ages and abilities – you can walk, jog or run. It will be marshalled and there will be first aiders on the route. You can enter on the day of the event for a donation of your choice. It starts at 1.45pm, with a cut-off of 3pm to avoid high tide and losing the light.

The event forms part of Mr Swindells’ fundraising efforts for the 2020 London Marathon, which he is running for Christian Aid. Mr Swindells is an experienced runner, and has completed marathons in Edinburgh, Jerusalem and, last year, the interfaith marathon for peace in Luxembourg.
