Essential Visitors Only At CrossReach Care Homes

                                                                                                                      Wednesday March 18 2020

RESTRICTIONS on visiting are in place at CrossReach care homes across Scotland amid the nationwide coronavirus outbreak.

A statement from the Social Care Council’s agency reads: “In line with best practice across the sector, supported by Scottish Care, CrossReach is only allowing essential visitors to all of our care homes for older people.

“This was a decision that was not taken lightly but we believe it to be the best way to protect the residents who live in our homes.

“This most recent move is in addition to the increased infection control measures we have in place.

“We are currently exploring different ways technology can be used to allow family members to remain in contact with their loved ones during this unprecedented period.

“We ask that you respect this position and do not visit any of our services unannounced.”
