Thanks to generous donations from the Peter Vardy Foundation and Glasgow City Council’s Holiday Food Programme, staff at Erskine Waterfront Campus have started a 12-week distribution programme of food parcels during the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic.
James, the cook at Erskine Waterfront Campus, and his assistant Irene prepare all the packages for collection by staff and volunteers from Peter Vardy and a team of volunteers from Peter Vardy and staff and volunteers from CrossReach worked together on distribution, observing strict social distancing rules.
Sheila Gordon, director of Children and Families in CrossReach hopes the deliveries can continue during the lockdown period.
A number of events including, the Forth Bridge abseil and the Moderator’s Golf Day have had to be postponed as a result of the pandemic. Updates on all are available on the CrossReach website at https://www.crossreach.org.uk/events
