Extra Tickets Released For Guild Gathering

                                                                                                                                  Friday August 6 2021

ADDITIONAL tickets have been made available for the Guild Gathering in Edinburgh on September 4 as Covid-19 restrictions ease.

In an email to Guild members, General Secretary Iain Whyte said: “As Covid restrictions have changed, we are delighted to say that we are now able to increase the capacity of the in person Annual Gathering to 250. As a result we will are able to offer 100 tickets to Guild members on a first come basis.”

Tickets are available on a dedicated ticket line 07807364992 or by emailing Karen Gillon at

kgillon@churchofscotland.org.uk

Mr Whyte added: “So that you are aware, we will be maintaining 1m social distancing in the seating and people will be required to wear a mask. A strict one way entry system will also be in place using the stairs at the front of the Assembly Hall (a lift is available for those with mobility problems but you need to let us know in advance).

“Seats will be allocated and tickets and a map sent to you in advance of the event.”

He said those physically attending would need to be in seats by 10.30am to allow the event to begin at 11am and asked that those attending ensure they have both vaccinations or ensure they have had a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours of attendance.

The gathering will be live streamed via the Church of Scotland website at www.churchofscotland.org.uk

The gathering was cancelled last year and replaced by a specially recorded programme which was livestreamed on the day. This year’s Gathering has been reduced in numbers and moved from Dundee to Edinburgh as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.
