A rainbow appeared over Rosemarkie Church at 7pm on Thursday August 12, as the congregation of Fortrose and Rosemarkie gathered to celebrate the bicentenary of the opening of the Church on Sunday August 12 1821. As John Hume pointed out in the July issue of Life and Work, there has possibly been a place of worship on the site since the sixth century.
