Harvest Thanksgiving was celebrated recently at Freuchie Parish Church in Fife recently with a collection for the local foodbank and donations of flowers that were distributed amongst the local community.

In pride of place (pictured), was a beautiful harvest display created by children from the local nursery. The children learned about all the vegetables that are grown as they created the colourful display which was enjoyed by the congregation.

It was a return home for the Rev Grant Maclaughlan last week as he was inducted as minister of Dundee: Logie and St John’s (Cross).
Born and raised in the city, Dundee United fan Grant attended Menzieshill High School before studying at Abertay and St Andrews universities.
His background in both parish ministry and work within communities will be invaluable as he works with his congregation as well as school and organisations in the local area.
Grant said: “I am excited about all the possibilities ahead of me, working with the Logie and St John’s (Cross) congregation and the wider West End community. My ministry is people-centred, and I want to help people realise who they are and what they can contribute. I want them to know that they are valued, having been made in the image and likeness of God.”
Grant is pictured with (from left) church elders Frances Dent, Alex Duncan and Bill McLean.
