Caring Christmas Trees Return

Tuesday October 26 2021

Scottish homelessness charity, Bethany Christian Trust, is asking festive shoppers to help people without a home this winter by purchasing a Caring Christmas Tree.

Adding festive warmth to their home with a Caring Christmas Tree helps to bring much needed care and support to people in need across Scotland. Trees are priced from £40 and sustainably grown in Scotland, with all proceeds going directly to Bethany’s work to support people who are homeless or vulnerable this winter.

Caring Christmas Trees has been running for over 15 years. Last year 3,459 trees were sold, raising £47,000.

Alasdair Bennett, Chief Executive at Bethany Christian Trust said: “When you’re buying a Christmas Tree this year why not turn it into support, outreach and practical assistance for homeless and vulnerable people in Scotland by choosing to purchase a high-quality Caring Christmas Tree.  For many the harsh realities of a lonely and cold hard winter are the only outlook at Christmas.  You can change that and by purchasing from Caring Christmas Trees you will be opening up your Christmas and giving a lifeline to support families and individuals in desperate need. Please spread the word of this excellent opportunity.”

Caring Christmas Trees are available to pre-purchase online www.caringchristmastrees.com  or by calling 0345 111 8733 from October 29. The trees will be ready for collection at various locations in Edinburgh, East Lothian, Glasgow and Fife in December, with an option for delivery in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
