Donations to Buy a Bed Doubled This Week

Monday November 29 2021

Scottish Charity Bethany Christian Trust is taking part in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2021 and aims to raise £20,000 in one week to support those without a home this winter.

During the Christmas Challenge week (November 30-December 7) donations towards the charity’s Buy a Bed campaign will be matched by Baillie Gifford and the Together Project, meaning each donation can support twice as many people sleeping on the streets.

The £21 Buy a Bed vouchers provide someone sleeping rough with a warm and safe en-suite bedroom, hot meals and support moving into long-term accommodation.

Alasdair Bennett, Chief Executive at Bethany Christian Trust said: “Giving someone the opportunity to escape the cold into safe accommodation and receive a hot meal, with love and support will save lives. When thinking of how you can make a difference this year, please consider this fantastic opportunity to double the impact of your giving.”
