Fairtrade Lecture Assesses COP26 Impact

Wednesday May 4 2022

Did last year’s COP26 climate conference deliver anything for fairtrade farmers? Fairtrade’s Head of Delegation will reflect on what was achieved at the conference in an online event this month.

Mary Kinyua, Chair of Board of Fairtrade Africa, will deliver Scotland’s Fair Trade Nation Lecture 2022 on Tuesday May 17 at 6pm.

She will explain what Fairtrade farmers were asking for at COP26, what was delivered and her own reflections on this.

Mary, Director of Human Resources at Oserian Development Company, one of the world’s largest ethical and Fairtrade flower farms, will also explain how the climate crisis is impacting Fairtrade farmers, what measures they are taking to alleviate them, and how Fairtrade is supporting them.
