Concert for Tearfund

Wednesday May 11 2022

A concert in aid of Christian international development charity Tearfund takes place in Glasgow this Saturday, May 14.

Tearfund has partnered again with singer-songwriters Yvonne Lyon, Gareth Davies-Jones and David Lyon, who will be performing songs from their latest album Trace the Line, inspired by the Sermon on the Mount.

Gareth, originally from Ireland but based in north east England, is a Sony Award-winning songwriter who has worked with many high-profile folk and roots artists. Yvonne Lyon has shared stages or albums with Beth Nielsen Chapman, Patti Griffin, Karine Polwart, Luka Bloom and more, as well as releasing several solo albums; while her husband David's worship songs have been featured several times on BBC radio as well as albums from Keswick and Spring Harvest.

They have collaborated  and toured together in aid of Tearfund for several years.

Saturday’s performance, at Queen’s Park Baptist Church, will help to raise money for Tearfund’s partners bringing hope to the world’s poorest communities. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are £6.
