The 2022 Real Advent Calendar was launched this week, with prices the same as 2021.
The Calendar, which has now been produced for 12 years, is the only fairtrade chocolate advent calendar that tells the Christmas story
This year’s design comes with a free 24-page activity book designed to be used every day in Advent, illustrated by award winning artist, Martina Peluso. It also includes a £300 children’s prize competition.
The calendar is palm oil free, with a recyclable box and tray, and includes a donation to charity. It is produced in Britain using sugar from co-operatives in Paraguay and Belize, and cocoa mostly from co-operatives in Côte d'Ivoire.
It costs £4.50 or £79.20 for a crate of 18 from www.meaningfulchocolate.co.uk, where you can also buy chocolate orange christingles, a Joy to the World sharing box of chocolate angels, individual bars of ‘Christmas Blessings’ chocolate, and a reusable edition of the calendar. There is also the chance to donate calendars to a food bank.
The calendar will not be sold in supermarkets this year, but is available from some independent retailers.
September Life and Work out now. Download a single issue from £1.99, subscribe from £6.
