Storytelling Theme for Interfaith Week

Wednesday October 5 2022

Scottish Interfaith Week (SIFW) this year takes place from November 13-20 and, to tie into Scotland’s Year of Stories, has the theme ‘storytelling’.

The festival, which will include a mixture of online and in-person events, aims to encourage people from the various faith communities to use storytelling to step into each other’s worlds, breaking down barriers and starting important conversations.

Churches and church members are being encouraged to run their own events, which could include open doors days, book groups and movie nights, show and tell events and much more. For a full list of suggestions, visit https://scottishinterfaithweek.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Resources-and-ideas-for-event-planning-Scottish-Interfaith-Week-2022.pdf

Visit https://scottishinterfaithweek.org for a full list of events, to submit your own event to the programme, and for downloadable resources. During the week, you are encouraged to get involved by sharing activities through social media using the hashtags #YearofStories and #SIFW2022

There is also an opportunity to become a Scottish Interfaith Week Ambassador, which will involve attending events around the country and reporting on them for the SIFW website and social media.
