'Give Kids a Break' Appeal

Homelessness charity Bethany Christian Trust is urging supporters to help Give Kids a Break this summer.

Many of the children and families supported by Bethany will not have the chance to enjoy time away this summer.

Each year the Give Kids a Break appeal helps the charity, working with Scripture Union and HopScotch, to send such children and families that they support on holidays and daytrips across Scotland.

These trips can provide a break from difficult conditions at home, brighten up the summer holidays, and give the young people a chance to try new things and make new friends. £25 helps pay for a child to enjoy a day trip to an outdoor activity centre, while £140 can cover the cost for a child to have a weekend break.
