One of the Church of Scotland’s churches in London will be a venue for a new literary festival celebrating Scottish writing.

The St Andrew’s Book Festival, from November 25 – December 1 this year, will include contributions from leading Scottish authors including Alexander McCall Smith, Ian Rankin, Chris Brookmyre and Liz Lochead, journalists James Naughtie and Gavin Esler, and broadcaster Lorraine Kelly. There will also be events for schools and families.

It will be run by Scots in London, an organisation bringing together Scottish organisation in the capital, including the two Church of Scotland congregations: St Columba’s Pont Street and Crown Court Church in Covent Garden. St Columba’s has already announced that it will be a major venue for the festival.

The full programme is yet to be announced. Visit https://www.scotsinlondon.org/ or https://www.standrewsbookfestival.org/ for updates.
