A pop-up choir on Mull opened and closed a social evening at Salen Parish Church.

All four congregations of North Mull Parish Church came together to welcome the Rev Rory McLeod, presbytery clerk of Clèir Eilean Ì (Highlands and Hebrides), who was visiting Mull and Iona.

The congregation used the event to say ‘thank you’ to minister the Rev Liz Gibson, who retires shortly and was presented with flowers, a gift and a giant card signed by all congregations.

Reflecting on the evening, the Rev Gibson said: “Good timing of having an inspiring and encouraging visit from Rory, around whose visit the social was planned! I'm so grateful for the love, support and generosity of so many in the parish and further afield. Still a few weeks to go!”
