Our regular round-up of news received from churches

Send items of parish news to magazine@lifeandwork.org. All submissions will also be considered for the magazine, but we are unable to print everything we receive.
Please check the quality of your pictures: images which are too small, blurry or dark cannot be used. If there are children in any picture please confirm that their parents or guardians have given permission for publication.

Six new elders have been ordained at Crossford Parish Church, in the Presbytery of Forth Valley and Clydesdale. Janice Clelland, Tom Clelland, Peter Forrest, Ian Hogg, Ross Helmy and Lesley Morton are pictured with the Rev Lorna MacDougall from Overtown Parish Church, accompanied by Roberta Hutton, interim moderator.

Ronnie Irving has been presented with a long service certificate marking 40 years as an Elder at Stranraer Parish Church. Ronnie has served on property and fabric committees, and is a very dedicated District Elder, paying particular attention to the residents of Thorneycroft Care Home in his district. He is pictured with the Rev Andy Muir.
