Kirkliston Parish Church in West Lothian welcomed seven new members through profession of faith this week.

Four of the seven were young men who took part in the Presbytery of Edinburgh and West Lothian’s internship scheme. Minister, the Rev Erick Du Toit, said: Over July and August, bonds of friendship were forged as these energetic and passionate teens offered themselves at various summer activities like the annual holiday club.

“What a joy to see God stirring faith in this generation – I have so much hope for what’s ahead.

“It felt natural and almost organic to cement their roles and influence in the Kirk community through a public profession of faith.”

Four elders of Lammermuir Church, East Lothian, have received long service certificates. Bill Swan (retired property convener, 50 years), Percy Craigie (43), Jim McDougal (40) and Paul Sales (33) are pictured with the Rev Anniko Schutz Bradwell.
