As part of the Season of Creation, Largo Parish church held a Pet Blessing service on 15 September 2024

The service was the inspiration of Fiona Ramsay, Largo's Youth and Family Worker, and Fiona was joined by the Rev Jane Barron and one of her three spaniels.

Several Messy Church youngsters and members of the Largo Worship Team led prayers giving thanks for all God's wonderful creatures. Most of the pets were dogs but in true Vicar of Dibley form, people without pets brought teddy bears.

The service was attended by dozens of people who would not normally be in church on a Sunday morning. And as proof miracles still happen, no poo bags or carpet shampoo were required!

Three new Elders were ordained at Gillespie Memorial Church, Dunfermline on Sunday October 6. From left: Richard Harrison, Fiona Wiggall, Fiona Boyle, the Rev Mike Weaver.

The Rev John Paterson has retired after 30 years as minister of Old Cumnock Old Church and Lugar Parish Church.  John is pictured with his wife Marge, and elders Betty McGinley and Moureen Jones.

Faifley and Duntocher Evening Guild hosted an evening with Michaela Foster Marsh, founder of Starchild. Starchild is a recent Guild partner project and Michaela has visited almost 200 branches to tell them about her adoptive brother Frankie, and his family in Uganda. The charity is helping disabled and disadvantaged children in Uganda by building a school and providing access to sustainable education, support and love.
