Duns Parish Church in the Borders celebrated Shrove Tuesday with a Pancake Supper, raising £200 for the local foodbank.


The Presbytery of the North East and the Northern Isles held a special service as part of the visit of the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Hosted by Inverurie West Church, the service featured the presentation of Long Service Certificates by the Rt Rev Dr Shaw Paterson.

These certificates are awarded to people who have served for 30 years or more, as well as to Sunday School teachers with 21 or more years of service.


Bridgeton St Francis in the East Church in Glasgow has ordained four new elders: Adam Collins, Graham Collins, Sandra McKenna and Sharon Miller.


Churches Together at Milton of Campsie had fun at Two-a-Penny - two hours of Birdy Bingo, Birdy Biscuits, Bird Feeders, Bird decoration, feather quill calligraphy, games and Birdy songs and choruses.


The congregation of Larbert East Church welcomed nine new members on Sunday March 2, at its quarterly Communion service.

Three of the new members are assistant leaders in the Young Church. The new members are: John Harvie, Sandy Harvie, Katy McGregor, Cerys McKinlay, Katy McKinlay, Hazel Rennie, Alistair Waugh, Pauline Harvey (absent) and Rachel McLeod (absent). The service was led by the Rev Anne White, Larbert East’s Locum Minister.
