Our regular round-up of news received from churches

Send items of parish news to magazine@lifeandwork.org. All submissions will also be considered for the magazine, but we are unable to print everything we receive.
Please check the quality of your pictures: images which are too small, blurry or dark cannot be used. If there are children in any picture please confirm that their parents or guardians have given permission for publication.

Pictured at the Glasgow Kiltwalk in April, the Alloway strollers completed their 14 mile walk, raising £6200 for Christian Aid’s Emergency Relief Fund.

The Rev Neil McNaught, team captain, said: “We would really like to thank all those in the church and community who supported us so generously. There were over 6000 good reasons to endure the odd bunion and blister.”

Newarthill and Carfin Parish Church of Scotland welcomed two new members by Profession of Faith on Easter Sunday. Lindsey Haggart and Steven Ramage are pictured with locum, Jim Paxton.

Life and Work is the magazine of the Church of Scotland. May issue out now.
