Members of Interfaith Scotland with religious leaders at the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow in 2021
Scotland’s national interfaith charity has been nominated for Charity of the Year in this year’s Scottish Charity Awards – and is appealing for people to vote for them.
Interfaith Scotland is a finalist in the £100k-£500k turnover category in the awards, run by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
While a judging panel will determine the winners under ten distinct categories, members of the public can have their say by voting for their favourite overall entry in the People’s Choice Award – by visiting scvo.scot/vote - before 5pm on Tuesday May 20.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on June 19.
Dr Maureen Sier, director of Interfaith Scotland, said: "We are delighted to be an award finalist and to be recognised for over twenty years of work supporting Scotland’s faith and belief communities. We are proud to be part of a movement striving for peace and building a more welcoming and inclusive Scotland for all."
Interfaith Scotland promotes and facilitates constructive engagement between different faith and belief communities across Scotland through dialogue, educational activities, civic engagement and the promotion of religious equality. Find out more at https://interfaithscotland.org/
