Pentecost was the perfect service to recognise the long service of Border Kirk Carlisle elders. Certificates were presented by former Session Clerk, Christine Mountain, to Aileen McCutcheon, Graham Fisher, Kate Fisher, Laura Irving, Christine Batey and Ian Robertson for over thirty years of dedicated service to The Border Kirk. Minister, the Rev Wes Brandon thanked all.


The Rev Alex Currie and his wife Kirsty were treated to a celebratory event in the New Town Hall, Whithorn on Saturday June 7 to mark their 35 years of service to their community and St Ninian's Priory, Glasserton & Isle of Whithorn Churches, in advance of Alex’s final service the following day.


Long service certificates were presented to elders of Dalkeith: St Nicholas Buccleuch Church all having exceeded forty years’ service. Pictured are John Thomson, Pat Robertson, Barbara Fairbairn, Margaret Hood and Jimmy Lindsay.


The Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt Rev Rosie Frew, returned to her first charge as the Guest Preacher at Largo Parish Church on Pentecost Sunday. During the service she presented Long Service certificates to (left to right) John Ross (54 years), James Robertson (47 years), Dorothy Armstrong (36 years), Arnott Wilson (38 years), Margaret Webster (31 years) , Irene Kay (31 years), Patrica Smith (32 years), Ian Campbell (32 years) and Lesley Henderson (53 years)


David Lloyd was ordained as Ordained Local Minister (OLM) at St Andrew’s Church in Brussels on Sunday June 1.
