Trinity College at the University of Glasgow has announced a programme of short courses to take place this autumn and winter.
The mostly online courses, running between September and early December, are designed for church leaders and members to take in their spare time.
History and Theology of Worship (Mondays, 6.30-8.30pm, online), will introduce students to the history and theology of Christian worship.
Contemporary Visual Art and Worship (Thursdays, 7-9pm, online) will explore and develop the role of contemporary art in Christian worship.
Preaching in Church Contexts (Wednesdays, 4-6pm, in person) will help preachers develop through reflection on why and how we preach.
Listening in Mission (Thursdays, 7-9pm, online) will explore the practice and theology of listening in mission within local communities and how this may renew imagination and impact of the church in a rapidly changing society.
Designing and Leading Christian Worship is an introduction to designing and leading Christian worship services, particularly for those in a church who are beginning to lead acts of Christian worship and for local church leaders who wish to refresh their understanding and practice.
The College has also announced its programme of short courses for the spring, including Liturgy and Prayer in Christian Worship, Creative Writing as Spiritual Reflection, Ministry and Mission in a Digital Culture and a Masters level course on Leading in Church Change.
Each course costs £207, although there is a subsidy available for people from Priority Areas.
