Our weekly round-up of news received from local churches.

The congregation of Killermont Parish Church, Bearsden was delighted to welcome thirteen new members on Sunday November 23.

From left: Ailie Reid, Andrew MacLachlan, Callum Macfarlane-Grieve, Nicola Keating, Craig Jardine, Sarah Hooper, Kathryn Hooper, Gavin Hamilton, Robert Fawcett, Jennifer Fawcett, Ross Duncan, Brian Chesnutt, Kate Bower.


Viv Wright and Jean Cooper were ordained as Elders at Birnie and Pluscarden linked with Elgin High, in Moray. They are pictured with the Rev Stuart Duff.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also at Birnie and Pluscarden linked with Elgin High, four Elders received long service certificates. From left: Bill Craig (44 years), Bill Knox (37), the Rev Stuart Duff, George Cruickshank (45) and James Gordon (30).


History was made in Inverleith St Serf’s Church, Edinburgh, with the Ordination of the church’s first Elder.

Inverleith St Serf’s was formed from a union of Inverleith and St Serf’s churches in 2011.
