Historic Dunfermline Abbey featured on a special limited edition Doctor Who comic - produced for a sell-out convention in the city on Saturday.
Some 2500 tickets were sold out in advance of the all-day event at the Glen Pavilion - the first comic convention in the Fife city. A special comic edition chronicling the adventures of the eleventh doctor, based on the BBC series, was produced by publishers Titan Comics for the event, featuring iconic Dunfermline Abbey as a backdrop.
The event, organised by comic book store the Little Shop of Heroes in partnership with Dunfermline Delivers, a company charged with the promotion of the city, also featured a lookalike of the tenth doctor, who was depicted on screen by David Tennant, son of former Moderator the Very Rev Dr Sandy McDonald.
Artwork produced for the event also included a drawing of Spiderman swinging along the walls of the Abbey church. The image was created by local comic book artist Colin Maxwell, a teacher at Fife College.
