The Border Kirk in Carlisle celebrated the 20th anniversary of its minister's Ordination on April 10.

The Rev David Pitkeathly was ordained and inducted in April 1996 at St Andrew's Peterhead, where he remained until 2007 when he moved to the Border Kirk. The celebratory service marked this milestone in his ministry with many affirming words from the congregations in Peterhead and Carlisle as well as cards, gifts and a certificate specially designed by Ryan Middleton, one of the Kirk's young folk.

The ladies of Thurso West Church Guild have made 2016 the year of the t-shirt! Their bright red, official Guild t-shirts have inspired them to set up another display in their church at the end of June. In previous years they have organised three very popular exhibitions: baptismal, bridal, craftwork. However, this time the theme is going to be 't-shirts with a story'. There will be a wide variety of t-shirts representing local clubs, organisations and events, each with its own story.
