Poetry Theme for Theology Conference

Friday September 2

The Scottish Church Theology Society’s annual conference in January will focus on the theme of Theology and Poetry.

The three-day event at Peebles Hydro hotel will include contributions from academics including the Rev Dr Doug Gay, Principal of Trinity College Glasgow, and Alison Jack, Assistant Principal of New College Edinburgh; and writers including Janet Morley and Edinburgh Makar Christine de Luca.

There will also be an optional ‘open mic’ session for people to read their own poetry.

The conference is from Monday-Wednesday January 9-11. Delegates can attend individual days or the whole event, with the option to take half-board accommodation at the hotel.

Download the flyer here or for more information contact the Rev Alec Shuttleworth on 01259 731002, ashuttleworth@churchofscotland.org.uk
