Tearfund Christmas Tour

Monday November 7

Tearfund Scotland have teamed up with four leading Scottish singer-songwriters for their Christmas tour.

Yvonne Lyon, David Lyon, Allan McKinlay and Ellyn Oliver will lead an evening of carols and original Christmas songs, in churches throughout Scotland.

Yvonne and David also performed three concerts in aid of Tearfund in September, along with Gareth Davies-Jones. Yvonne’s solo work includes a recent album of songs co-written with people who have suffered bereavement, and she has shared stages or albums with Beth Nielsen Chapman, Patti Griffin, Karine Polwart, Luka Bloom and more; while her husband David's worship songs have been featured several times on BBC radio as well as albums from Keswick and Spring Harvest.

Allan McKinlay, who joined Yvonne and David on last year’s Tearfund Christmas tour, has led worship at many different Churches, Events, Conferences & Festivals such as Big Church Day Out, Creation Fest, Open Skies and CLAN gathering. This year he has been performing and speaking about his weight loss journey on the ‘Awake with Allan’ tour, and has released a brand new Scottish Worship EP.

Ellyn Oliver, who joins the tour for the first time, is a musician and singer, and member of the New Scottish Hymns band. She has seen firsthand Tearfund’s work in Malawi.

Each of the 13 performances will help raise money for Tearfund’s partner organisations. Tickets are £6 plus fee and can be booked online at Eventbrite.
