With the Great British Bake Off returning to screens next week, Christian charity Tearfund is hoping to put Britain’s baking craze to good use.
The development charity’s Big Bake 2017, to be held from October 7-14, asks supporters to hold a bake sale to raise funds.
Any money raised will support Tearfund’s work in poor communities and with marginalised groups across the world.
You can register your event at Tearfund’s website, where you can also download customisable posters, bunting and cake labels. There is also a voucher for 15% off Divine Chocolate when you sign up.
There are also recipes from supporters Martha Collison (former Great British Bake Off contestant), Will Torrent and Tom Herbert among others, to get you started.
