An Edinburgh congregation has been hard at work during the Covid-19 lockdown to produce ‘Reassurance Teddies’ for young children at a local school.

Knitters at Carrick Knowe Parish Church in Edinburgh, including minister, the Rev Fiona Mathieson, have produced 99 teddies so far (some are pictured) at Carrick Knowe Primary School as part of a project to show love for the local community but also provide reassurance for  P1 and P2 children returning to school next week.

The Church of Scotland Guild in Portpatrick has again produced its fundraising calendar of local scenes.

The calendar has been a popular fundraiser and has boosted Guild funds since its launch a number of years ago.

The calendar, which costs £5 plus £1.50 post and packing, is available from Fiona Maxwell by telephone on  01776 704045 or by email at maxwellf@supanet.com
