Wedding Montage Marks Anniversary

Tuesday September 1 2020

To mark the bicentenary of its current building, Abbey Church Dunfermline had planned to host a wedding event during August.

After the event was postponed until next year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the church decided to offer an online alternative.

A video montage has been created of couples married in the church, and was posted yesterday to YouTube.

The church, which is also celebrating the 950th anniversary of the marriage of St Margaret of Scotland and King Malcolm Canmore in the historic Dunfermline Abbey, is still appealing for photos and will update the Gallery of Weddings montage as they come in.

Photos can be sent to dunfermline.abbey.church@gmail.com, with the title ‘Wedding Photo’. Include the names of the bride and groom, and the date of the wedding.
