'Beyond Lockdown' Lectures

Thursday September 3 2020

An Edinburgh church is to host a series of lectures at which high-profile speakers will look at what lessons have been learned during the coronavirus lockdown.

The former Bishop of Edinburgh, Richard Holloway, and broadcasters Sheena McDonald and Jim Naughtie are among the speakers in the Beyond Lockdown series, to be held at Morningside Parish Church throughout this month.

The lectures, jointly hosted with Greenbank Parish Church, will be recorded and live-streamed on YouTube.

The full programme is:

  • Sunday September 6: Adam Bruce talks about green energy and the future
  • Sunday September 13: Richard Holloway talks about religion as the art of crisis
  • Sunday September 20: Sheena McDonald, with Allan Little, will talk about ‘sliding doors’ and compare different lockdown experiences.
  • Sunday September 27: Jim Naughtie will round off the series

All lectures start at 7.30pm. For more information visit http://morningsideparishchurch.org.uk/autumn-lectures-2020/
